Lessons for the BJP from the 2009 elections
- the broader civilizational questions at stake

With the Congress surge many are claiming that whenever the BJP raised the "bogey" of Hindutva, it lost. They say now in 2009, the BJP lost as Varun Gandhi raised this "bogey" and that because the BJP spoke about Narendra Modi being its next Prime Ministerial Candidate. Let us see if the BJP lost whenever it spoke ardently of Hindutva.

In Pilibit, Varun Gandhi won by a handsome margin. In Gujarat, the BJP held on to its gains. In the past whenever the BJP has taken a strident anti-terrorist stand it has won. Gujarat Assembly elections are one example. The BJP's past win in Parliamentary elections in 1999 was based not on diluting Hindutva, but on making it strident. The BJP had two seats in 1984, then came Advani ji’s Rath Yatra and the seat numbers increased to 90 and then to 181. This was when the Hindutva plank was assertively used – although it was the Ram Mandir that was the core issue and not anti-terrorism per se, but then it was a terrorist Mir Baqi under instructions from his leader Babar who had demolished the Ram Mandir in 1526. So the Ram Mandir campaign also was a reaction to a terrorist act committed almost 5 centuries back. And so the Ram Mandir plank too was an anti-terrorist plank, but we do not normally consider it to be one. And when this plank was combined with stunning economic development, as was done by Narendra ji in Gujarat, the BJP went from strength to strength.

Advani ji has done the BJP a lot of good through the Rath Yatra, but this real Laxman of the BJP cannot become a Ram. His pro-Jinnah utterances did him in. He also had not much developmental accolades to his credit. He is a fine man, who has to now bow out before the course of history. The future belongs to another person - Narendra Ji Modi. Narendra Ji has both these credits – being stridently anti-terrorist and pro-development. So the best bet is for Narendra ji Modi to take over the mantle of the BJP if not immediately then in 2011, after the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Gujarat are thru. In the meanwhile he should work harder to make Gujarat an example of stunning development along with a strident anti-terrorist campaign that he should lead every time there is a terrorist attack in India and anywhere on the globe. He did this during 26/11 when he went to Mumbai and visited the Hotel Trident when the terrorists were still holed up there and declared that he would physically fight the terrorists.

The pro-development and anti-terrorist model will work all over India and hopefully in 2014, we shall have a combination of good governance in which the Manmohan Singh Government has done reasonably well from 2004 up to 2009 and which Manmohan Singh ji may continue in future. The Indo-US nuclear deal is a feather in Manmohan Singh ji’s cap. But Narendra Ji has done even better in Gujarat. And now Narendra ji will have to prove to the people of India that Gujarat under his leadership is better off than the rest of India under Manmohan Singh ji. And alongwith this, Narendra ji should keep conveying a strident anti-terrorist message, (something which Sonia-Manmohan combo will not do, due to their Muslim support base that has given them 20 seats in UP). This way Narendra Ji and the BJP can outperform the Congress in both fields- Economic Development and fighting Terrorism.

Our one critical suggestion is that the anti-terrorist element of Hindutva which appealed to voters in the past- the Ram temple card has limited use, and should be jettisoned. Hindus do not want more temples, they want more terrorists to be shot down and more of rapid economic development. Manmohan Singh ji can give the latter, but not the former, while Narendra Ji can give both and outscore Manmohan Singh ji. We admire the honesty and pro-development focus of Manmohan Singh ji, as also his foreign policy with regard to the Indo-US Nuclear deal. Narendra Ji would have similar ideas. Notably Narendra ji has not said one word against the Indo-US nuclear deal, unlike the shrill counter-productive utterances of other BJP leaders like Yashwant Sinha. But what Narendra ji has more than Manmohan Singh ji, is his instinct of being anti-terrorist – something that Manmohan Singh ji lacks. We need to build the BJP by accepting and outperforming Manmohan Singh ji’s plus points on foreign policy and domestic economic development while stridently exposing Manmohan Singh ji whenever he is weak on the terrorists and gets more sleepless nights when terrorists are grilled in Australia and anywhere else on the globe!

But along with such a strident anti-terrorist stand, what is required first and foremost is a professional and successful approach to development, as has Narendra ji Modi. And anything that comes in the way needs to be demolished, the way Narendra ji demolished over 300 wayside Hindu temples that were encroaching on Gujarat’s sidewalks. A deed for which he was castigated to be worse than Mahmud of Ghazni by the VHP. Hopefully the Gujarat Formula of being pro-development in domestic policy and anti-terrorist and pro-US in foreign policy, will be used by the BJP up to the 2014 elections that could bring the BJP to power under the dynamic leadership of Narendra ji. Meanwhile let us wish Manmohan Singh ji all the very best - except winning the 2014 elections!

The ideological frame of the broader civilizational questions at stake due to which we need to be anti-terrorist and expose the Islamic enemy by carrying the fight into the terrorist camp While we need not elaborate on what the pro-development strategy should be based upon, as Narendra ji has established the benchmark for development by demonstrating it in Gujarat – because of which he is called the Vikas Purush. Now the question is what should the anti-terrorist campaign be built upon? The answer is that we should educate the general Indian population of the dangers of Islam and exposing the Muslim enemy by describing the typical traits of Muslims not just in India but the world over. This way we can carry the fight with Muslims and their terrorist creed to a broader ideological level using the following points:

1) The role-models of Muslims are cruel war-mongers who keep having bloody fights with each other.

This is based on the observed fact today that a majority of the Muslims (who take to the streets) across many countries, lionize and idolize extremists and war-mongers like Bin Laden but not progressive and constructive reformers like Ataturk, Nasser, Sadat, Hosni Mubarak, former King Amanullah of Afghanistan, etc. So even in unfortunate eventuality of the entire world population being converted to Islam, people the world over would keep having bloody fights with each other, and humanity would be at perpetual war with itself while there would be no technological or economic progress.

2)As Muslim we would be living in theocratic dictatorships all across the world. There would be no democracy, no elections and no public accountability for any act. The only arbiter would be the Quranic prescriptions for all times in the future.

This is so since today most of the Muslim majority countries cannot sustain democracies. Except Turkey, and Egypt, no Muslim majority country has a sustained democratic tradition. But most Muslim populations look up upon Islamic dictatorships or monarchies.

The list of such theocratic dictatorships would include Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan (despotic monarchies), Syria, Iraq, Chad, (dictatorships) Iran (nominal democracy under strain from clerics), Kuwait (nominal democracy under emirate), UAE, North Yemen (and occupied South Yemen which had a sort of democratic set up earlier), Libya, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria (Military rule of secularized military), Malaysia (civilian dictatorship of Mahathir Mohammed), Indonesia (fledgling democracy), Pakistan, Bangladesh (spells of democratic rule and military dictatorships), Central African Republic (kingdom of former "Emperor"; Bokassa), Uganda (a Christian majority country that had a taste of Islamic dictatorship under Idi Amin), Afghanistan (theocratic dictatorship of the Taliban), etc.

3) If Muslim dominate there would be ill-treatment of women, Women would not be allowed to have an education, pursue any career. Men would be forced to wear turbans and grow beards.

This possibility is based on the observation today that a majority of the Muslim countries do not give equal rights to women like education, free-movement, driving, apparel, and even participation in mass-prayers in the mosques alongside their menfolk, (no doubt the scripture will be quoted to explain this, but this is the reality). The hijab, Chador or burqua (veil and full length gown) for women is still a common feature in Islamic societies.

In the ideal Islamic society of Talibanized Afghnaistan adult men are forced to grow a beard and wear the prescribed Islamic dress, they cannot sport normal (Western) hairstyles and even students above the age of three are forced to wear turbans.

4) As Muslims we would have to send our kids to get the highly jaundiced and narrow scrap of education in religious schools that would teach only the Quran.

This is based on the observation today that a majority of the devout Muslims in the Islamic world prefer talim (religious education) in Madrasas (Muslim theological schools) as against professional education.

5) Under Islamic rule there would be no respect for human rights and no freedom of thought and expression. Anyone speaking out against Islam or the Quran or the Prophet would be punished with death. Flogging and stoning to death, cutting off of the limbs would be the prescribed punishments for common crimes like stealing.

This is based on the observation today that some leading and vocal Muslim organisations and some governments in power, practice the politics of fatwah (Muslim religious decree) of death towards those who express themselves against Islam. A Muslim who publicly declares that he is no longer a Muslim is considered a Murtad and he is punishable by death (although there are various interpretations of the Koran on this)

6) In an Islamic India (and world) there would be no public media like the TV, Cable or Internet. Since these would be looked upon as the Satan's tools in corrupting humankind with information and entertainment.

This is based on the observation today when many Muslim sects frown upon mass communication media like the Television. In some instances, TV sets are dumped as an act of piety.

7) The Dictatorial Rulers all over the world would be Muslim Clergymen

This is based on the observation that most Muslims oppose the separation of the State and Clergy. Temporal power is vested in the clergy in most countries in Dar-Ool-Islam or the Islamic world.

8) All aspects of life would be regimented with what is stated in the Quran. There would be no evolution of new laws and in fact no new thoughts

This is based on the observation today where a majority of the Muslim countries prefer some variant of the Sharia i.e. Muslim laws based on the Quran, as against modern civil laws. The Sharia laws include stoning to death, cutting of limbs, castration, etc.

9) Even if you were a Muslim and belonged to a minority sect like the Shias or Ahmediyas, you would be considered to be an infidel or heretic and be subject to harassment.

This is based on the observation today where a majority of the Sunnis (a majority sect among the Muslims) look upon the Shias as heretics. So also are the other smaller Islamic sects.

10)There would be no scope at all for having any opinion, idea, innovation outside the Quran-al-sharif or anything that is considered non-islamic. This would in fact freeze all progress.

This is based on the observation today where most Muslims look upon anything non-islamic as Kufr and Jahiliyat (infidel, ignorance) and also the entire non-islamic world as Dar-ul-Harb (literally 'Hostile zone') or the Infidel world. And anything that even a Muslim chooses to do, which is frowned upon by the clergy, is considered as Haram (illegitimate).

11) There would be a complete ban on dance, music and entertainment.

This is based on the observation today where most devout Muslims spend all their spare time in reading the verses of the Quran and in Namaaz (mass invocation of Allah). Their minds are closed to anything outside the Quran. They live an insular life and shun socializing with non-Muslims. The Taliban rule in Afghanistan epitomizes what an "ideal" Islamic society the World over would look like.

12) Aggressive, quarrelsome attitudes would be a common feature of human behavior and social relations would be perpetually violent whether at the family level, local area level, province level, national level or global level. The crime rate would be high. The all Muslim world society would be perpetually at war with itself.

This is based on the observation today where most of the criminals (in non-Muslim countries) are Muslims. Muslims are also dominant in global terrorism. Even at the national level they (Iraq, Libya, etc) specialize in the making of chemical weapons of mass destruction. Soon the nuclear capability that is today limited to Pakistan will proliferate to the Arab and rest of the Muslim world and we shall soon see a mushrooming of small rogue states armed with nuclear capable missiles that would bedevil the rest of the non-Islamic world.

Even as organisations Islamic gangs would terrorize the world. Examples of such gangs are the Al Qaida, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Muslim Brotherhood , Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, Harkat-ul-Mujahedeen, Hizb-ul-Mujahedeen, Jaish-e-Mohammedi, Abu Sayyaf, etc

Thus a victory for the Muslims over the rest would spell doomsday for humankind, it would mean the end of all technological progress. In fact, for the thinking species of Human beings, an Islamic victory would mean the end of meaningful human existence. A scenario, where we would still have our capability to think, to innovate and to progress; but we would not be allowed to use any of our human faculties. This would be even worse than the scenario had the Nazis won the 2nd World War.

This is the logical scenario in case of a victory for the Islam over India (or over all non-Islamic people across the globe). It would be a frightful existence under the twilight of Islam, with no hope for the future. It is for these reasons among others, why the rest of the world (including some modernized Muslims) look askance at the growing clout of the Muslim clergy over the Ummah i.e. the general Muslim populace. And the resultant growing disturbances that Muslims cause in areas where they live alongside non-Muslims - like Chechnya, Macedonia, Egypt (Coptic Christians), Southern Sudan, Ethiopia/Eritrea, Southern Philippines (Mindanao), Indonesia (Malaku), Kashmir (India), Israel, etc.

In fact even many modernized (non-Islamized) Muslims are scared to death to speak their mind about Islamic orthodoxy, even after having lived in the West for more than one generation.

But some time or the other one has to address these issues in the context of freedom of thought and action for a future liberal democratic society the world over; and in the larger context of saving human civilization from the mortal danger it faces today from the growing strength of Islamic Terrorism of Jihad. So if we have to defeat Islam in India we need a political party who is committed to fight Islam. A party like the BJP, Hindu Mahasabha, Shiv Sena.

This will be dismissed by many psec Hindus as a communal proposition, but the alternative is a victory of the Islamic Jihad, which is what the Congress rule will passively allow if not actively facilitate.

The time to wake up is now, the only recent example of fighting an enemy to its finish and saving the nation is that of Mahinda Rajapaksha who fought the LTTE till all its cadres had either surrendered or were dead, the same should be done with the Muslims in India and the world over. The only difference between the Muslims and the LTTE is that the LTTE although a ruthless organization did not follow a religion based on injunctions that ask for its members to kill or convert members of other religions, the way the Quran does. So if a fight to the finish with the LTTE had to be so ruthless, we can imagine how ruthless we will have to be if the Muslim enemy is to be pulverized into surrender or be sent to the stillness of death.

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan

- Dangers to India from Western (Pakistani) Punjab in 2009 and in 1174 - Can Hindus Learn from History?

Nearly a millennium back, the year was not 2009, it was 1174, the attackers were not Lashkar-e-Toiba, but Jihadis nevertheless from the Ghurid clan. The method of attack did not involve suicide bombers in Islamabad, or terror squads in Lahore, but the cities of Mulasthana (Multan) and Sakala (Sialkot) and Purushapura (Peshwar) as also Suvastu (Swat) were being attacked by bands of roving Ghurid Jihadis who went about destroying Hindu temples and murdering innocent villagers in Punjab. Those being attacked were not Pakistanis, but the Hindus of what is today West Punjab, the rulers were Muslims even then - they were the Ghaznavid rulers who descended from Mahmud of Ghazni. These Ghaznavids were Muslims and they had to battle another invading Muslim clan that was coming towards India from Afghanistan.

The situation was uncannily similar to that which is developing today.

Those being attacked today in Pakistan are the Muslims of Punjab (soon attacks on Sindh will follow in Karachi). Those who are attacking these Muslims are also Muslims. Today the attackers have come to Swat, as one thousand years back they came to Suvastu in the year 1174. They had then overturned another Muslim dynasty that had occupied Punjab from 1030 up to 1174. This is exactly what is happening today, when bands of Talibani brigands are trying to overthrow the Muslim regime of Pakistan established n 1947, by attacking it. The theatre of these events in 2009 is also the same as in the year 1174.

Today the Pakistani military is using Helicopter gunships to kill the Taliban who refuse to vacate Swat. The Taliban have refused to lay down their arms, but have very ceremoniously withdrawn from Buner. Theis Taliban withdrawal should remind us of their withdrawal from the outskirts of Kabul, when they met with resistance from the Rabbani Government in the 1990s.

The Taliban withdrew when it saw that it could not prevail against the superior military power of the Rabbani government backed by Ahmad Shah Massod and Rashid Dostam. But the Taliban did not give up. They regrouped and attacked once again, this time occupying Kabul and followed up this victory by occupying almost all of Afghanistan. In India too we should remember, that the Hindus defeated the Muslims at Bahraich in 1033, and at Mount Abu in 1188 and again at Tarain in 1191. Despite these setbacks for the Muslims, they did not give up, but regrouped and attacked India over and over again, finally capturing Delhi in 1192 (Mohammed Ghori) and reaching Kanya Kumari in 1326 (Malik Kafur).

A protracted Pakistani Civil War has finally begun

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan is today on the run in face of a Pakistani onslaught, but they will regroup and occupy Pakistan as their spokesman Muslim Khan has openly stated.

What we see today is going to be a long and a protracted war in which the Pakistani military will use airpower to eject the Taliban from the towns in the NWFP (including the FATA), but after this the Taliban will fan out into the various towns and cities of West Punjab and Sindh and carry out a series of spectacular suicide bomb attacks. In this phase targets like the Airports, educational institutions, Cinema Halls, Multiplexes, Malls, Mac'donalds, KFC, Domino's Pizza Hut and all other symbols of Western footholds, symbols of Westernization like beauty salons, Five Star Hotels, Western Embassies and Consulates would all be targeted. In the latter half of 2009, Pakistan would be under a reign of terror. The Al Qaeda especially has interest in helping Taliban to gain control over Pakistan to gain control over Pakistani Nukes. The Al Qaeda has lost out on Afghanistan, and if it tries to retake Kabul, there would be swift retaliation from the USA. So for the Al Qaeda-Taliban combo the relatively safer option is to threaten Islamabad, as it did when it moved in to Buner and to points overlooking the Pakistani nuclear installations at Wah near Islamabad. Our verdict on the ongoing events in Pakistan is that - A Protracted Pakistani Civil War has finally begun!

What matters to Indians, or should matter to us, is that these Talibani Jihadis under Baitullah Mahsud, as were the Ghurid Jihadis under Mohammed of Ghori or Mahmud-ibn-Sam, will be sooner or later making there way towards India! Nearly a millennium back, the kingdom of Delhi in 1174 was ruled by Raja Someshwar, while the Delhi of today is ruled by Manmohan Singh. What was common is that Manmohan has a childish understanding of the Muslim threat that is creeping towards India in 2009, as Someshwar had in the year 1174.

Someshwar was succeeded by his 13 year old son Privithraj Chouhan in the year 1179 and Privithiraj Chouhan too had a childish understanding of the Muslim psyche (till he was defeated in 1192, blinded and had to commit suicide in Ghor after using the Shabda-bheedi Baan to slay Mahommad Ghori).

Who succeeds Manmohan Singh is as yet an open question. But what I fear is that the successor would too have a childish understanding of the Muslim threat as had Privithraj, and which led to the Muslim occupation of India.

Will history repeat itself? I dread this possibility!

But what is not an open question is that is India aware that the target of the Taliban is not Pakistan, but it is India. And the single aim of the Taliban is to complete the task left unfinished by the Muslim tyrants of the middle ages, that to convert the residual Hindus to Islam, not at the point of the sword, but at the point of the Atom/Hydrogen Bomb that their hero Abdul Qadeer Khan has built for them.

So what should India do now? We see one enemy of ours (Pakistan) fighting for survival against another enemy (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan). So is the old adage and enemy's enemy is your friend applicable here. Heavens NO!

Pakistani Nuclear site at Wah were in Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s crosshairs?

Then what on earth should India do when two of its enemies are engaged in fighting each other and soon would be embroiled in a full scale war when the Taliban soon come down from the Swat to Islamabad. In their last advance they had reached within shooting distance of the Pakistani Nuclear site at Wah in their crosshairs. They were only 60 miles from Islamabad in April, before the Pakistani Military started pushing them back. But the Taliban will come back again, and next time with a stronger force, as their resolve to take over Pakistan and then invade India is inbuilt in them by Islam. For them the Jihad never ends! Sounds chilling, doesn’t it? Some day the Pakistani Military will face a mutiny or a series of mutinies and sections of the Pakistani military will defect to the truculent Taliban, and that would be the death knell of Pakistan.

Even the Americans give Pakistan six months to fold up. What should India be doing now and when the final crunch comes?

In this scenario India should do what Shivaji Maharaj - the most astute of Hindu rulers did in a similar situation by playing Adilshahi's against the Mughals. Shivaji slayed the Adilshahi general Afzal Khan very smartly in 1657, and went on to cut off the fingers of the Mughal General Shahista Khan. Thus he attacked one enemy at a time, stayed out when the two enemies fought each other, played one enemy against the other, and finally stymied both enemies, When the Mughals finally overthrew the Adilshahis, the Marathas sidestepped to not only survive, but eventually reached and occupied the Mughal capital Delhi itself in 1720.

Similarly India should today consider the two enemies - the Pakis and the Talibs to be both mortal enemies and allow them to fight as long as they are fighting each other, but be prepared and swiftly take off Pakistani nuclear arsenal before the moment it falls into the hands of the Talibs (as Shivaji Maharaj had swiftly plunged the Waaghnakh - tigerclaws- into Afzal's abdomen and pulled out his intestines). And even in the unlikely event, of the Pakis defeating the Talibs in the long run, India should nevertheless take the opportunity to cut off Pakistan's Nuclear head, by taking off the Pakistani Nuke sites, as Israel did, a la Osirak.

While it is too much to expect from the supine, indolent and indifferent Hindus (a few exceptions like Narendra ji Modi apart) to give the defeated Pakistani people a choice of Hinduism or death, can India at least take off the Paki nukes?

Does India have the will to do this? This unfortunately is an open question?

Indian Army – India’s last Hope?

The brief but sharp invasion of Mumbai on 11/26 (or 26/11 as Indians call it) that shook up security agencies all over the globe is evident from the visits that India’s RAW and CBI, received from the FBI, CIA, Scotland Yard, MI5, Mossad, FSB (Russian Secret Police) and the Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure of France.

This attack took place in a country aspiring to rub shoulders with the developed 1st World of G8. The positive side of the visit of the security agencies of the major powers is that at least now we recognize the world over that what the Muslim Terrorists do in corner of the globe can be replicated in any other corner.

But the point is that after the invasion of Mumbai, what should have been shaken are not Security Agencies, but the War Offices of these countries. Why so, you may ask? Because Security Agencies are meant to defend, while War Offices are meant to attack. And the Terrorists, along with their billion and a half co-religionists, who are getting increasingly brazen, need to be given a full and final answer. We need to realize at least now that we are in the midst of a War. And wars can be won only when the enemy is either destroyed or surrenders on your terms.

Today the focus is on India, where in the recent past some retired Military Officers from the Services and also some serving ones along with some Hindu priests have been implicated in planning and executing a series of bomb attacks targeting Muslims in their mosques (Hyderabad, Malegaon, Delhi), Pakistan bound trains (the Samjhauta Express).

For Indians it is a novelty to realize what here would be viewed as pastors and preachers like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson teaming up with serving officers and rookies from our marines to blow up the Brooklyn Mosque and kill many Muslims at prayer there. Although we know that at Brooklyn too they plot terror attacks against our homeland. But nevertheless it would still be shocking for most of us at Brooklyn and all over New York to read of such a plot in the NYT or the Post.

But then this is exactly what has happened in India. So the logical question is, how far have the Indian Services been influenced to take direct action against the enemies of civilization? Are there many more like Colonel Purohit? Do such thoughts also prevail among those who hold custody of India’s nuclear arsenal? We need not be alarmed if such a reality has indeed unknowingly come to pass!

These are extraordinary times, and at such times we Americans have responded in the past 232 years of our independence in the required manner, a manner that was not necessarily a desired manner in the eyes of others. If you are familiar with U.S. history, consider the way we completely drove out the last Britisher (colonialist) from the newly independent United States in 1776, consider the sacking of Atlanta during our Civil War, and the psychological impact on Southerners of Sherman's March to the Sea. Unfortunately, these are the necessary atrocities of a successful military campaign. This is what the history of war teaches: Without a complete and total annihilation of the enemy, he will never come to realize the folly of his ways... and he will rise to fight us again. The point is when and under what circumstances will we be provoked to carry this war to a decisively successful conclusion. For Hiroshima the provocation was Pearl Harbor, this time if it has not been 9/11, then will it be a nuke or dirty nuke attack on the West or the US mainland? More so as the American spirit of spunk has been aptly illustrated by the Boston Tea Party. We did not wait for an invitation from anyone to stage the Boston Tea Party and deliver a message to our adversaries of those days – the Colonialists. Our War of Independence was at our initiative, and we won it with a little help from Lafayette.

Today the Invasion of Mumbai is a watershed in the death and destruction that can visit also our shores in a manner much more manifold than Mumbai. Osama Bin Laden has already said that he wants to kill one million Americans. Can the American examples of responding to existential crises, our spunk as illustrated by the Boston Tea Party, our March to the Sea, Nuclear Testing during WW2 and then finally Hiroshima, provide a role model for Indian army after the Invasion of Mumbai? The role of Lt-Col Shrikant Purohit and retired Major Ramesh Upadhyay provide just that spark. Will that spark succeed further? Will those in charge of India’s nuclear arsenal prove to be a haystack that will allow that spark to set it aflame and burn down the enemies of India and civilization that stalk it from across Wagah?

Well only if it does, only then India can destroy its enemies or else, its enemies, the Muslim terrorists, will brazenly do whatever they have in their heinous minds while India and the world watches and Indians have candlelight vigils, peace marches, pledge to preserve communal harmony, national unity, pledge not be provoked and promise to bounce back after every such murderous attacks. All this while Pakistan's Zardari pulls wool over your eyes by putting Massod Azar (of IC 814 fame) under "house Arrest". Why does not Pakistan hand him over to the USA, if not to India? If you trust Zardari's sweet talk of "A Pakistani being present in every Indian", then be sure that there will be many more Pakistani's like Kasab (the arrested terrorist) and his fellow teammates who, as Zardari says, would be present among Indians to execute their designs of mass murder. And carry out many and increasingly more devastating attacks, which would be in store not only for India but also for the rest of us.

Rise India Rise

We can only say Rise India Rise in the Spirit of your epic the Mahabharat and destroy the last of the Kauravas of today by releasing your Brahmastra (Nuclear arsenal) to wipe out Pakistan and follow it up by wiping out the enemies within your borders.

Today the tactically superior psychological warfare machinery of Pakistan has further tied down the already over stretched Indian security forces in knots. Airports and Railway stations are the new fortresses that are heavily guarded, instead of the borders or the hill fastnesses of Kashmir. Next will be the Metro stations. Or the shopping malls. The list is endless. This is what the enemy wants – tire and dull the edges of the security forces of India by making them run hither and thither. This is the result of thinking at tactical level like a company commander by those who occupy the strategic domain, which necessitates a visionary generalship. Also, this remains the single important reason why intelligence and police machinery of the Union and the States in India is fatigued and collapsing. Perpetual red alerts, 24x7 for the past many years have reduced our civil and military forces into dysfunctional entities with no declared objectives to achieve.

To avoid destruction of our forces by deployment in unending internal circus and before the war fatigue sets in, we need to take the war imposed by the Muslim terrorists to the enemy territory - Pakistan. Unless the source of supply of the terrorists is disabled, this war cannot be won. We all know that the core group orchestrating this drama is the Pakistan Army and the ISI. We need to put these external links of terrorism into disarray. This can only happen if the war is re-exported to Pakistan.

There is no other hope for India unless it wants to bleed slowly with a thousand cuts, which Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the present Pakistani President Zardari’s father in law had promised to bleed India with! Is India listening? Is the Indian Army Listening?

Kashmir (Amarnath) Issue – How did the USA and the former USSR deal with Secession?

Today with the Amarnath land transfer imbroglio having set the Kashmir issue on the boil once again, can we learn from the past track record of the USA and the USSR? Had the USSR or the USA faced a challenge of Secession as India has faced in Kashmir since 1947, how would they have dealt with it? History has the answer.

During the formative days of the USSR, the Chechens tried their hand at secessionism and attempted to secede from the nascent USSR. They were crushed by Stalin’s Red Army. Again during the Second World War and the Nazi occupation of the Caucasus, the Chechens got another opportunity to try and secede.

In response to their second attempt at playing traitor, the Soviet leader, Josef Stalin, on 23 February 1944, deported the entire Chechen people, and their Ingush neighbors, from the Caucasus to Central Asia. About 387,000 Chechens and 91,000 Ingush were deported on 23 February 1944 and the next few days. The Chechen and Ingush survivors were allowed to return home in 1957 only after they gave up their secessionist ambitions and pledged loyalty to the USSR.

Sapiet Dakhshukaeva - a Chechen survivor writes "That was the time when the dead (Chechens) didn't get buried because there were too many of them. Dying people were crawling to the cemeteries so as not to be eaten by dogs." Sounds morbid, but this kind of ruthlessness, ensured that Chechen secessionism was nipped in the bud, and did not raise its ugly head again till 1990, when the USSR fell apart.

Now we may say that India unlike the USSR is a democratic and secular country. But then the USSR too was secular and even atheistic! Fine, but then some will again argue that Communism is not democratic, but is utterly autocratic. Okay, fine we in India are not Communists neither are we autocratic, the Government of India is a democratic one committed actually not to secularism, but to religious tolerance, or as the Hindus call it “Sarva Dharma Samabhava”. So let us look at a democratic country, which to many is a paragon of democratic values – the USA. What would the US have done had it faced a Kashmir like situation within the Homeland? American history tells us that they would have done something not very different from what Stalin did! American actions during the Civil War bear evidence to this statement.

During the American Civil War, when the victorious Union forces routed the secessionist Confederate Army and captured Atlanta, they were ruthless with the secessionists. He victorious Union General Sherman's famous March to the Sea followed his successful Atlanta Campaign of May to September 1864. He and U.S. Army commander, Lt. Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, believed that the Civil War would end only if the Confederacy's strategic, economic, and psychological capacity for warfare were decisively broken. Sherman therefore applied the principles of scorched earth, ordering his troops to burn crops, kill livestock, consume supplies, and destroy civilian infrastructure along their path. This policy is often considered a component strategy of total war. President Abraham Lincoln fully supported this tactic. In fact it was the re-election of President Lincoln that ensured that political pressure would not be applied to restrain these tactics. We need to consider the psychological impact of the sacking of Atlanta on Southerners during General Sherman's March to the Sea. These were looked upon even by President Abraham Lincoln as the necessary atrocities of a successful military campaign. In fact this is what the history of war teaches: Without a complete and total annihilation of the enemy, he will never come to realize the folly of his ways... and he will rise to fight us again. What lessons does this have for India in dealing with secessionism and terrorism in Kashmir

Opportunities Lost by India in the past to liberate Kashmir

The point is when and under what circumstances will we in India be provoked to carry this terror war in Kashmir and proxy war with Pakistan to a decisively successful conclusion. India has lost many opportunities since 1947. Initially in 1947, it was the Pakistani led Pathan raids in to Kashmir valley that lost us Baltistan and northern Kashmir to Pakistan.

Again India lost an opportunity when during the Kargil war, Pathan and Punjabi troops of Pakistan's NLI (Northern Light Infantry) disguised as Mujahedeen infiltrated and invaded Indian Kashmir. At that time had it not been for the resolute policy of the BJP government, the entire Kashmir Valley (and perhaps much more) might have as well been lost by India.

India has wasted many other opportunities to retake Pakistan occupied Kashmir and also give a mortal blow to Pakistan. After India lost its first chance in 1947, when Pakistan was much weaker, India lost another chance in the 1965 war, followed by one in the 1971 Bangladesh war and then again during Kargil in 1999.

Finally on 8th October 2005, India lost a ‘god’ sent opportunity to retake Kashmir when the Pakistan army was distracted and disorganized by the Earthquake which hit northern Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir very severely.

Then instead of rushing in crack regiments of the Indian army to completely defeat the already disabled Pakistani army, along with a button-push readiness for a mortal nuclear response to a predictable Pakistani nuclear attack on India; the Indian government had foolishly sent in medicines, food supplies, blankets, tents etc., to Pakistan. An offer which the Pakistanis contemptuously and scornfully rejected.

Now Pakistan is busy in the post- Musharraf turmoil. We know that the Indian government and the Hindu psyche does not have the gumption required to wipe off that ugly litter of British colonial rule – Pakistan and its surrogate Kashmir. But if we had this psyche that our ancestors like Sri Krishna, Chanakya, Shivaji epitomized, then this is what the Indian government would have done in the following order:

- Kept the Indian nuclear arsenal in button-push preparedness to be used at the inkling of a Pakistani nuclear attack on India. Ensured a focused preparedness to destroy Pakistani military assets and infrastructure.
- Aimed conventional missiles in push button readiness at Muslim majority towns inside India like Aligarh, Aurangabad (in Bihar and Maharashtra), Bulandshahr, Badaun, Old Delhi, Hyderabad (Charminar), Godhra, Karimnagar, Malegaon, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Mughalsarai, Muzzafarnagar, Osmanabad and other Muslim majority towns. These dens of terrorism should be treated as enemy territory and obliterated as if they are parts of Pakistan, which in reality they are going by the loyalty to Pakistan of the Muslims residing there.
- Devastate the Kashmir valley as General Sherman had done during his March to the Sea. This should be followed by what Stalin had done. Deport the entire surviving Kashmiri Muslim population to isolated areas in the center of the country in Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Telengana, etc., to be used for forced labor to develop these backward areas. This would involve poetic justice in using a culturally backward community (the Muslims) to develop India’s infrastructurally backward areas!
- The Muslims of other parts of India would not remain mute spectators to all this. Hence, irrespective of the level of terror attacks that the SIMI, IM, etc launch, the Indian military might should be used to destroy and then round the survivors of the Muslim majority areas of India to be transported to the Labor Camps where the culturally backward community of Muslims are used to develop India’s infrastructurally backward areas.
- While all this happens, Pakistan and the Islamic world would not sit tight, hence all Indian citizens working in the Gulf and across the Islamic world should be pre-emptively asked to return to India or emigrate to safer (non-Muslim) parts of the world before the operation to liberate Kashmir begins.
- India can expect military response from Iranian missile capability. This would have to be tackled in anticipation along with the action against Pakistan.
- As a result of all this, terror attacks against India would peak up in the short term. But this would be a one time mega bitter dose to swallow, rather than be continually bled by a thousand cuts – of which Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, etc are just an initial few cuts.
- For those who are horrified at reading this so far, we need to remind them that whenever in the past 1396 years, counting from the year 622 onwards, all victories against Islam have been had only by those who obliterated the Muslims. There has never ever been any peaceful co-existence with the Muslims and there never ever will be one. Be it the successful attempts in Spain (in 1493), Bulgaria (in 1860), Greece (1890), or the failed attempts in Serbia and Kosovo a few years back, the Muslims have only been checked and rolled back by a more ruthless adversary.
- Today in India, it is not Amarnath or Kashmir that is the issue at hand. The issue is that of the Muslim design to overrun the globe. And so the response would have to be to tackle the Muslim threat it at a global level. Does India have the gumption to do so? We are sure under the present dispensation (either Congress or BJP), India does not have it! Does the world at large have it? Unfortunately not so at least today! Can the world at large, and the USA and Western World in particular, have this gumption ever in the future? Hopefully yes. But then that probably will not happen until the unfortunate eventuality of an Islamic nuclear terrorist attack on the West!!
- So unfortunately, till that devastating nuclear terrorism takes the stage; Kashmir, India and the world at large will have to continue to bleed piecemeal while we all grin and bear the increasingly devastating Muslim terrorist attacks directed at all kafirs (non-Muslims) all over the globe!

Bomb Blasts at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Varanasi, Mumbai, Delhi - Rise you cowardly Kafirs (non-Muslims) and annihilate your enemies!

Unless we non-Muslims realize that the Muslims only understand the language of death; Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Varanasi, Mumbai, Bali, Jerusalem, 9/11, 3/11, 7/7 will keep recurring.

In Israel, it is the IDF that demolishes the houses of terrorists and kills them in targeted attacks. But in India, the army is never deployed to avenge attacks by Muslim terrorists. The Indian Army is only deployed to restrain non-Muslims from avenging terrorist attacks, with Hindu politicians giving their usual ‘sane advise’ to Hindus of maintaining calm for foiling the designs of the terrorists and ensuring “peace” (sic).

The Axis of Evil between India's Dhimmi politicans and pro-Jihadi communist bosses of the TV and print mass media

These Dhimmi politicans who suffer from the 'Stockholm Syndrome' are ably supported by the pro-terrorist, pro-Jihadi communists who control TV channels like the NDTV (Prannoy Roy, the Bro-in-law of the doyen of Communists in India - Brinda Karat who is Prakash Karat's wife), CNN-IBN, IBN 7 (Rajdeep Sardesai, ex-NDTV chap). Same holds for English print media like the "Hindu", Hindustan Times", and others. Nearer home too, this "axis of evil" between the Code Pink dominated media and Dhimmicratic politicians like the current favorite Obama, is seen. Even here we have the NYT singing paeans of praise for Obama, and decrying warrantless wiretapping and Gitmo Bay.

Coming back to India, we can note that only after mass-actions like the anti-Muslim riots of 2002, did Gujarat have a relative period of peace for the last six years. If Gujarat has to have peace, the Hindus have to deliver a decisive message to the Muslims in the form of bombing Masjids (mosques) during Ibadat/Namaz (Muslim congregational prayer) time, torching Muslim localities, targeting individual Muslims who venture out of their Mohallas (localities), and above all and at least enforce a total economic Boycott of the Muslims. Only such actions can deter the terrorists from further attacks. Remember this is a global war with the Muslims and in any war, victory comes only when the enemy is either entirely annihilated or the survivors surrender to accept the victor’s terms. The enemy is “Muslims”, and victory can be had only after they are either all annihilated, or accept terms by giving up Islam. This is mortal combat with the Muslims. At least now you Kafirs should act upon your survival instinct and prove that you are sagacious and astute human beings. Our message to all Kafirs: “Only when you ensure the death or surrender of all Muslims across the globe, can we ensure peace, prosperity and progress across the globe. O Kafirs, Awaken your astute courage to survive, before it is too late!”

Does Narendra ji Modi support the Indo-US Nuclear deal?

Why has Narendra ji Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, maintained a stoic silence on the Nuclear deal, while leader of the BJP Parliamentary party Lal Krishna Advani, has tamely and unsuccessfully opposed the deal? Does Narendra ji support the deal?

Narendra ji, and also Brajesh ji Mishra are examples of Desh-bhakts (those loyal to India's national interests) and not Paksh-bhakts (those loyal to a political party - the BJP).

Moditva will lead to the MODIfication of Bharat from 2008 onwards, and the history of Hindutva will never be the same again in the coming years!

With an absolute majority in Gujarat for Narendra Ji Modi who leads the right-wing Hindu Nationalist political party BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in a Hat Trick win, the enemies of the Hindu Community would be turning in their graves where they shall soon land. No, we are not talking about Sonia Gandhi or the INC (Indian National Congress). They are not our real enemies - the Muslims are the real enemies of the Hindus, as also of the Christians, of the Jews, of the Buddhists, of the Magians (Zoroastrians), of the Sikhs, of the animists, et al. In fact, after Gujarat, the Congress Party will go in for soft Hindutva a la Rajiv Gandhi as he did in the Shilanyas at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya and the Shah Bano verdict. So the 2008 General Elections will see the Congress trying to be a pale saffron shadow of the BJP. And the BJP will romp home to occupy the Treasury benches - if and only if, it projects Narendra Ji as the Deputy Prime Minister of India to be anointed as the Prime Minister sometime midway before 2014 General Elections to replace Lal Krishan Advani. Only this can ensure that Narendra Ji puts the whole of Bharat i.e. India on the path of progress as he has done with Gujarat. Only he, of all BJP leaders, can put Islamic Terrorism in its right place, as he did with Sohrabuddin! In its grave.

Gadflies like Teesta Setalvad, that Bengali born Communist who has married a Tamilian Comrade, tries to be a thorn in the flesh for Modi. She put in a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) against Modi for having said that a terrorist like Sohrabuddin had to be done in. But in spite of all this, Modi has emerged as the Rose of the day whose fragrance will spread all over Bharat in the next General Election.

With Modi back in power, the CPM will start flashing the red signal on the Indo-US Nuclear deal and withdraw support to the Congress Government. The Congress will try to stall this eventuality with Pranab Mukherjee trying to pull wool over the eyes of Comrades Karat, Yechury, Bardhan Raja and company. But this will not cut ice for too long and Indians could have a General Election in the spring of 2008. But what are the lessons of the Gujarat election for the anti-terrorist, anti-Jihadi forces across the globe?

What do the Gujarat elections teach us? – Be anti-terrorism, not pro-Hindu!

This piece of advice seems local, but has global significance. Hence we have decided to comment on it.

The lessons from the Gujarat elections are that the BJP has got a landslide win due to Modi’s strident anti-terrorism platform by reminding the voter about the terrorist Sohrabuddin who was shot dead while trying to flee from police custody in reply to the slur of Narendra Modi being a merchant of death by Sonia Gandhi.

While the INC (Indian National Congress) lost, despite starting off its campaign with debunking Modi’s self-evident claims of the development of Gujarat and then topping it with hailing the terrorist Sohrabuddin as a martyr. But the voters rejected the INC, and voted for the strident anti-terrorist stand of Narendra Modi. So electoral dividends have again come for the leader and party which took a strident anti-terrorist stand.

The lesson is that only those leaders will win, who frame and implement a policy aimed at fighting terrorism to its finish, whatever the political or military cost involved in doing this. As Nicolas Sarkozy of France is doing. He proclaimed to be scum those Muslim terrorists who indulged in arson and murder in Paris, Lyons and other French cities every night for a fortnight. Another example closer to home is Angela Merckel of Germany whose strident pro American anti terrorist stand won her the chancellery of Berlin. Or even Tony Blair who was elected thrice in a row to lead Britain for paying, in his own words “blood price” in the fight alongside America against Islamic Terrorism.

All these leaders backed with grit and determination, the American fight against terrorism. All political leaders across the world need to take note of the fact that these days of global Muslim terrorism, it is tough anti-terror outlook and actions that cuts ice with the voters. Nothing else. Coming back to Bharat i.e. India, the BJP, the INC and other political outfits in India also need to take note of this.

With the expected increase of the number and viciousness of terrorist attacks, not just in India but even across the world, common people will easily realize the dangers that terrorism poses. And when told of this danger, in an appealing and articulate manner, the common man will come out and support those fighting terrorism on the political (as well as diplomatic and military front). This is the lesson to be learnt from the Gujarat elections of December 2007.

At least now, with the decisive and convincing win in Gujarat, in addition to the scheduled win for the BJP in Himachal Pradesh and in the General Elections in 2008, can all leaders of the BJP do the needful all across India? Will they put up a bold face and a determined policy against terrorism? Will they project Modi as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India? Can the mainline Communist controlled English language media ever stop pandering to pseudo-secular forces. We pinpoint, the Muslim managed print media like the Asian Age and the JNU communist controlled TV channels like IBM-CNN, IBN7 and New Delhi Television (NDTV) which constantly support terrorism, by presenting news, subtly and sometimes not so subtly, against the global war against terror.

Lets see! But the MODIfication of Bharat has begun. Moditva alone can lead the fight against Islamic terror in India, and the world over, to a successful and conclusive finish.

The 1857 Uprising - An Incisive Question?

Had the 1857 rebellion succeeded, it would have made Bahadur Shah Zafar the king of India. Would we have wanted that?

Although there were many Hindu Sepoys, the 1857 rebellion was inspired and led by Muslims, especially in Delhi, Lucknow and Kanpur. Except for the Rani of Jhansi and Tatya Tope, most of the important leaders were Muslims.

The fighters in Delhi called themselves Ghazis, Mujahideen and the called the rebellion a Jihad.

Even a cursory glance at the evidence leaves no doubt that 1857 was the *partial culmination* of a jihad inspired after the Battle of Plassey (1757) by Shah Waliullah and his son Shah Abdul Azeez (who declared India a 'Dar-ul Harb' in 1804), and later furthered with actual action by Sayyid Ahmed Barelvi (Shaheed) [not to be confused with Sir Sayyid Ahmed, a judge under the British regime and a protagonist of British rule, who was a strong advocate of a conciliatory approach in Muslim dealings with the British].

The *second jihad *was fought in 1947 when a part of India became 'Dar-ul Islam'. It is anybody's guess when the *third* might be fought. But one thing is certain - it will be against the Hindus to convert the rest of India into a 'Dar-ul Islam'.

Laxmibai and Nanasaheb Peshwa who had been loyal to the British government, had been actually *threatened* into participation in the uprising by their Muslim soldiers.

Zafar would have become emperor, Islam would have been the state religion and Hindus would have returned to their subservient citizenship had the uprising succeeded.

The widespread Hindu-Muslim clashes that occurred in Rohilkhand and other places where the mutiny partially succeeded only indicate how strongly opposed were the Hindus to the uprising and how the much vaunted 'Hindu-Muslim' unity, parrotted by most whitewashers, was a perfect myth. Hindu celebrations in Agra after the British had recaptured Delhi and put the phlegmatic Zafar behind bars prove the same truth.

A look at fatwas and appeals published during the mutiny clearly indicate the jihadic nature of 1857.

In areas traditionally known to have succeeded in dismantling and humbling Muslim power in the 18th Century like Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra and other areas, the uprising was minimal, if at all. In fact, it was with Sikh help that much of the trouble was controlled.

All in all, the current euphoria over 1857 belies the undeniable fact that we are better off today because the uprising was crushed by the British!

Although Veer Savarkar lauded the Sepoy Mutiny against the British as a National Uprising, he had also asked Hindus to join the same British Indian Army in 1940.

So in hindsight was the 1857 rebellion really in the interests of the Hindus? And would its success have been a step back in to Muslim Tyranny, as compared to the less cruel British Tyranny - which anyway had to end, but not if it was to be replaced by the Muslim Tyranny.

Muslims call 1857 a jihad, the British also call it a jihad. It is only us stupid Hindus who continue to fool ourselves by calling it a war of independence, which it was anything but! *Who* were fighting and for *whose* 'independence' is the question.

There is nothing to celebrate about the 1857 uprising and the sooner we realize it the better prepared will we be to take on the third jihad.

In the light of this how many visitors think that the Mutiny's failure was good for Hindus. And how many would have joined the British to fire on the rebels?

What do you feel about these unconventional posers?

Dump the BJP and revive the Hindu Mahasabha

Those who have the original outlook of Shri Vinayak Ji Savarkar in their minds, need to come together at the political level to revive the Hindu Mahasabha as the main Hindutva political party in Bharat. This need is utmost today with the dilution of the Hindutva outlook in the BJP, and the antics going on with the targeting of leaders like Shri Narendra Ji Modi, Shri Kalyan Singh Ji and Kum Uma Bharati Ji. It is these leaders that won Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. By natural selection, it is they who should have had the lion's share in managing the Party and not arm-chair members who have secured seats in the upper house through indirect elections, after having lost the popular vote like the late Shri Pramod Ji Mahajan and others.

If Shri Narendra Ji Modi, Shri Kalyan Singh Ji and Kum Uma Bharati Ji and others could take the initiative to form a separate party that is ardently committed to a Hindutva line, and that brand of Hindutva which was the original one, as advocated by Shri Vinayak Ji Savarkar, only then could the new party take out the wind from the BJP's sails and revive the Hindutva movement. Whenever the BJP has advocated the Hindutva cause ardently, it has succeeded.

People the world over respect clarity of thought on part of their leaders. People respected Shivaji Maharaj, Indira Gandhi, and today George Bush. The hallmark of the clarity in their minds was to identify the enemy clearly. Today the enemy of the Hindus and of the world at large is terrorism. And terrorism resides in the hearts of all Muslims. Not just their leaders, but all Muslims, since all of them are bound by the Instruction Manual of Terrorism - the Quran that calls for killing of all Kafirs. The paramount concern in the minds of Hindus is that of terrorism, in addition to the equally important ones of unemployment, health care, etc.

Only when the BJP took an anti-terror, anti-Muslim stance, the party succeeded. This happened in UP in the Ram Mandir wave, in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in the wake of the Gujarat riots in response to the roasting of 58 Hindu pilgrims at Godhra. Vajpayee, Advani and their cohorts, have led the party to its decline and this will end up in disaster for the Hindutva movement, if the movement is not saved now.

We call on Narendra Ji Modi, Kalyan SinghJi, Uma Bharati Ji, Govindachrya Ji and all right-thinking leaders of the BJP, the VHP, the RSS to re-think what has got them success? Was it the anti-terror (anti-Muslim) stance fuelled by the Ram Mandir wave and the Gujarat riots or Gandhian Socialism?

Only a clear stance anti-terror, anti-Muslim stance can salvage the Hindutva movement, A return to basics has to start from what the founding father of Hindutva propounded in his treatise also named Hindutva. The new party will overshadow the BJP as the more radical CPM overshadowed the its parent the CPI, and the ardent Indira Congress overshadowed the original Old Congress of Morarji Desai. History is set to repeat itself, if the new breed of Hindutva leaders like Shri Narendra Ji Modi, Shri Kalyan Singh Ji and Kum Uma Bharati Ji raise the banner of revolt. They need to be supported by Govindacharya Ji, Shri Pravin Ji Togadia, Shri Vishnu Ji Dalmia, Shri Ashok Ji Singhal, Shri Balraj Ji Madhok, Shri Madan Devi Dass Ji, Shri Ram Madhav Ji, and above all the Mannaniya Sarsanghachalak Sudarshan Ji. Can these venerable leaders muster enough courage to take the initiative to make a clean break with the BJP and start a new party committed to an ardent and aggressive Hindutva of Veer Savarkar and take the Hindutva movement back to don the crown of Bharatvarsha.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee - the Walking Disaster

Under Vajpayee’s stewardship, the BJP lost India’s General Elections and now he is making a scapegoat of the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Ji Modi. Vajpayee, the Walking Disaster had asked in the Goa session of the BJP "Peheley Aag Lagaayee Kisney" while referring to the roasting alive of Karsevaks in the Sabarmati Express. Now the Walking Disaster is looking for a scapegoat for blaming the rout of the BJP under his stewardship. Vajpayee is a “Goat”, and he and his and his cohorts need to be sacrificed, if the BJP does not want to sacrifice itself permanently. The need of the hour is bring forth leaders like Narendra Ji Modi and Govindacharya Ji to lead the BJP ahead. With his comment on Gujarat, Vajpayee - the Walking Disaster is now also becoming a Talking Disaster, so it is high time that the BJP brings in a Kamaraj Plan to send into Vanvas all its Superannuated leaders, beginning with the Walking Disaster.

we also need to remind readers that the march of the BJP from 2 seats to 182 seats was not brought about by Vajpayee, but by Advani Ji’s Rath Yatra to build the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. To dampen the spirits of the Ramsevaks and make the Rath Yatra a failure, Vajpayee had told the Ramsevaks that they need to remember that they are going to Ayodhya and not to Lanka. But in spite of Vajpayee’s criticism, the Rath Yatra took the BJP to success. We feel that not just the Indian National Congress, but the BJP suffers from a personality syndrome. As the Congress cannot get rid of the Gandhi family, the BJP is stuck with Vajpayee. It is high time that the Walking Disaster - Vajpayee is prevented from doing further damage to the party and the country, by forcing him to resign from Parliament and sending him into permanent retirement. The second generation leaders of the BJP, like Sushma Swaraj, Uma Bharati, Govindacharya, Narendra Modi need to take over the mantle of the BJP. Narendra Modi took the party to a 2/3rds majority in the Gujarat Assembly. We need leaders like him and Pravin Ji Togadia to provide the vision to take the BJP back to the Treasury Benches.

President Kalam’s queries on her Italian origins made Sonia Gandhi withdraw herself from the road to the Prime Minister’s office

The real reason for Sonia Gandhi withdrawing her nomination as leader of the CPP (Congress Parliamentary Party) and of the alliance which would have made her the Prime Minister of India is not well known. At her meeting with the President Hon’ble Sri Abdul Kalam, the President told Sonia that he had to ascertain the legal position in this matter as there was no confirmation that all the rights and privileges granted to persons of Italian origin are reciprocated by Italy in the case of Indians who become citizens of that country. This is necessary according to the Indian Constitution. Sonia is said to have decided not to take the risk of rejection of her nomination for the Prime Minister's post after the President’s briefing. It should also be noted that the President, in his letter on Monday, invited her only to “discuss” assuming the post of Prime Minister, and not to assume office.

The President’s office has denied that such discussion took place. Such denial is necessary to uphold the decorum of the President's office and prevent the President from being dragged into controversy. The very fact that a denial had to be issued, sustains the theory that something notable took place at the meeting.

In India, the pseudo-secular mainstream English media will highlight this denial from the President’s office and unwittingly give publicity to the original story that they did not carry!

Smt Sonia Gandhi got herself elected as leader of CPP (Congress Parliamentary Party) and then as leader of the Congress led alliance by all members of the alliance and then got letters supporting herself as the leader from all the parties. If Smt Sonia Gandhi did not want to become PM, then why did she collect letters supporting her as leader from all her allies and now is collecting letters supporting Manmohan Singh as the leader? Why did she do all this if she intended to withdraw her nomination?

In the bargain by withdrawing her nomination, she has tried to gain for herself, a halo of heroism and renunciation, and the credit of saving the honor on Bharatiya tradition. In fact withdrawing her nomination was just a figleaf to hide the embarrassment which the President's queries caused her and convinced her that she could not be the Prime Minister of India.

The truth will be known only to a few, and may be revealed after many years when President Kalam or Sonia Gandhi write their memoirs. Remember the memoirs of M.O. Mathai about Jawaharlal Nehru and his extra-marital affairs?? This came out many years after Nehru passed away. Same could happen in this case too!

"Vajpayee Hatao, Party Bachao, Desh Bachao

The election results are a “hammer on the head” for Vajpayee.

Hard Hindutva needs to come back fast in to the BJP outlook. The uniform civil code – (only one wife for Muslims), abolition of special status for Kashmir, abolition of the Haj subsidy, compulsory family planning for all, no ten or twenty kids for Muslims… and with redoubled vigor the Ram Mandir movement, and a pragmatic assertive policy towards Pakistan, all this needs to come in loudly and clearly

At the next BJP conclave, Vajpayee should take political Sanyas (retirement) or if not the BJP should be man enough to throw him out; and Shri Narendra Ji Modi should be made the BJP chief and projected as the prime ministerial candidate for the 2008 elections, or earlier if the Congress Hodge-Podge falls apart before that..

Our slogan "Vajpayee Hatao, Party Bachao, Desh Bachao”.

We hope the new incumbent, Dr. Manmohan Singh follows a foreign policy as pragmatic as his past economic policies, that would better inline India with the US policy in the war on terror. We wish him good sense and good luck in his new role.

Pro-active Defense missing in India’s Nuclear Command

While the Govt of India can be complimented for coming up with a relatively bold nuclear Command, what is lacking is a clause of pro-active deterrence. Such a clause could have stated that in the event of India’s security being threatened by any hostile power the Government of India reserves the right to carry out a first strike at the enemy to incapacitate the enemy from launching a declared first strike against India.

With the Pakistani Head Honcho Musharraf having threatened India with a nuclear attack, at the height of the 2002 crisis, it would be in the fitness of things to have such a clause in India’s Nuclear Command. This would have been in keeping with the American propounded policy of pro-active deterrence of ‘waging war to prevent war’.

We guess the Govt of India still has a long way to go to reach the American mindset. Anyway at least the Govt. of India has been bold enough to say; ”Nuclear retaliation to the first strike (by the enemy) will be massive and designed to inflict unacceptable damage (on the enemy).” Congrats! But what if the enemy’s first strike itself causes unacceptable damage to India? How will India respond if with the first strike itself, Pakistan sets off mushroom clouds over major Indian metros, like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, etc?

And when Paki Nukes can reach India in four minutes flat, India has less than four minutes to retaliate after the Paki nukes take off, and before they (Paki nukes) crash into India and start vaporizing Indians. In this scenario is there any rationale for India's stated “No First Use” policy???

This question begs an answer! We do not want the Government of India to state the answer, but we hope that Government of India has factored this eventuality and has kept proactive nuclear deterrence as its prime though undeclared military reflex.

The first ever Pakistani-American military clashes could trigger a war with India?

This is especially relevant today, since the first Pakistani-American clashes have started off at the Afghan border, and the wily Musharraf can do something dramatic to deflect attention and take off American heat off his back by striking across the Indian border.

Derailments of Passenger Trains - The new front of the Jihadis in India?

After the attacks on Akshardham, the Raghuvir Temple and Godhra, now the terrorists seem to have opened up another front. With the spate of derailments taking place on a weekly basis in India, it is high time for the Govt of India to reveal the terrorist hand behind it. The latest derailment with the Guwahati Express occurred after a bomb blast. Surely the bomb blast was not due to poor maintenance of the rail tracks! Poor maintenance has been reason being given for many of the derailments that have occurred in the past few months. We guess that this is the new front the Jihadis have opened up.

The cable car accident at Pavagadh in Gujarat is, we believe, also one in the same string of terror attacks. The Jihadis will accept many unconventional and unexpected attacks. Remember the sniper shootings in Washington? So we have not only to be on our guard but should take the war into the Jihadi camps. But how are we to do it? Are we to fire-bomb the Masjids during namaz time? Blow-up the Madrasas? Attack Muslim Diplomats?Assassinate Muslim religious heads? Can only such deeds terrorize the terrorists and their support base? Is it so that unless this is done we cannot meet the Jihadis on their terms? Do we have to become more ruthless and more cruel and more determined and more organized and more well-financed than the Jihadis, if we are to counter them? Can we learn anything from Shivaji Maharaj in this regard? Can only this avenge the terror attacks? We do not know! But we are sure that nothing can stop the blood-thirsty Jihadis from launching newer forms of attacks across the globe.

For the sake of a Cow..... will a Kingdom be lost?

Veer Savarkar, the late President of the now almost extinct Hindu Mahasabha had said that the cow is just an animal. Do Gopalan (breed the cow) and not Gopujan (do not worship the cow). Now after five Dalits were lynched for the 'crime' of skinning a cow, Acharya Giriraj Kishore a leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is reported to have said that the life a cow is more important than of a human being! What a pity, what a shame, what stupidity to say such a thing. Shades of Manusmriti?? In the Manusmriti, the life a person from one caste is valued differently as compared to the life of person from another caste, since the punishment for murdering a Brahmin is different from that for murdering a Kshatriya, which again is different from that for murdering a Shudra.

And if Shri Giriraj Ji has not said what is attributed to him, as Shri Tarun Vijay (of Panchajanya) claims, then the Acharya should issue a clear message stating what he actually said.

And we are told that Udit Raj, the Dalit leader, will hold a rally of Dalits at Jhajjar (the scene of the crime), where he will lead them into Buddhism. Upto this it is fine. But he is asking other minorities to participate in that rally. Why have Muslim and Christian leaders at such a rally? Maybe as a support, as protection. We can understand this too. But can the VHP, Bajrang Dal, the RSS the BJP join Udit Raj's rally and give him the necessary support and protection. At least caste-based organisations like the Brahman Sabha, the Jat Panchayat, the Maratha Mahasangh can join the rally, or at least express open support to this rally. We are saying this as a challenge to all caste-based organisations in India.

And why did the VHP, RSS and Bajrang Dal not rush to the scene of the crime and denounce it. This is the least they could have done if they could not organise a riot against the criminals who killed the Dalits; as the Bajrangis did after the equally deplorable mass murder at Godhra.

The Hindu leaders better open their eyes to reality and stop alienating sections of the Hindu community for the sake of a cow. Or else they better learn from the old English limerick -

For sake of a nail the shoe was lost,

For sake of a shoe the hoof was lost,

For sake of a hoof the horse was lost,

For sake of a horse the king was lost,

For sake of a king the battle was lost,

For sake of a battle the kingdom was lost,

And all for the sake of a horseshoe nail.

If the Hindu leaders do not wake up, the next suicide squad to reach a Hindu temple could as well be of Dalits who have renounced Hinduism. And after that happens, then do not say that you were not warned if "For the sake of a Cow...your Kingdom is lost."

Postscript: Ironically for the sake of the cow a Hindu Kingdom was really lost when the defeated army of Mahmud Ghauri smartly covered their retreat by blocking the path of the pursing Hindu army with a herd of cows. The Hindu army did not advance, since they would have had to slaughter (or at least harm) the cows, if they had to pursue the fleeing Muslim army. The cow afterall was their mother Go-mata (sic)!! And so the Muslim army succeeded in escaping, only to attack again the following year and defeat the Hindu army and take over the Kingdom. This happened in the year 1191 at Tarain in North India when Prithviraj Chauhan first defeated Mahamud Ghauri in 1191 and then was defeated by Ghauri in 1192 beginning the era of Muslim rule in India.

Murli Manohar Joshi ji - Teach Jyotishi (Astrology) in all Universities

Many of us who swear by Hindutva, supported India's former HRD (Human Resources and Development) Minister Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi's move to bring Astrology (Jyotishi), Paurohitiya (rituals to be followed by Hindu priests), Karma-Kanda (orthodox beliefs about re-birth, karma i.e. deeds in ones life deciding in what form and caste he will be re-born in his next life, and moksha i.e. salvation) as subjects in the University syllabus.

But we from hindutva.com think that this is a retrograde step that will pull our upcoming generations into a wrong direction. We know Dr. Joshi that you are a religious person. We do not grudge you, your religious beliefs. To you the universe is god's creation. Fine with us for you to believe that. But for the Human species to progress, it has to understand the universe as something that we live in. Something that has to be observed perceived and studied through telescopes and radars. For any sensible person, star and planetary movements are not something that can be linked with the fortunes and misfortunes in an individual's or a nation's or the world's existence.

Ancient Hindu Jyoti Shastra

The ancient Hindus studied the lights (Jyotis) of the skies - ASTRONOMY. Hence they called this study a Jyoti Shastra (Science of the study of the heavenly lights) as also Khagola Shastra.

A perverted application of Jyoti Shastra was the Jyotish Shastra (Astrology and Palmistry). This happened since some of the less reflective minds linked the change of seasons year after year and the associated change in star patterns year after year with the expected change in human fortunes.

The only logic was that when the stars and planets are in a certain position in the sky, there is summer, or winter or spring or monsoons. To begin with, this was used to predict the onset of monsoons. Up to this point it was fine, since the change in seasons and the change in star patterns took place at a systematic periodicity. Although the seasons changed not because the star patterns changed, except that there was a link between the positions of the Sun and earth and the seasons like summer, monsoons and winter. But this apart, there was no cause and effect relationship between the change in star patterns and the change in seasons, similar to the fact that there is no cause and effect relationship between the change in star patterns and the change in human fortunes. Thus extending this logic to say that human fortunes are also influenced by the movement of stars and planets was invalid.

Palmistry

Talking about the corollary practice of palmistry, we can say that this practice was a result of linking up of individual fortune with that element of the human body by which a person literally builds his future. This element of observation here is obviously the hand, more properly the palm. But there is nothing more in palmistry than this. We know that lines on our palm are a result of the skeletal frame within our hand. For this reasons lines similar to those on our palms are also present on our footsoles, armpits and at all other joints. More so, such lines exist on the palms of a Gorilla or a Chimpanzee too, but none of us would claim to foretell the fortune of any simian this way.

Degrees to become Qualified godmen?

Maybe someday Dr. Joshi will introduce doctorate courses on Palmistry and Parrotology, where a parrot pulls out a card on which your fortune or misfortune is written. And later on maybe even Miracle men and godmen Babas and other Jadoo-Tona wallahs can get post graduate degrees in their respective trades (tickeries). Amen!

Incidentally, the practioners of Jyotish shastra were called Jyotishis from which we have the family name Joshi.

The decision of Dr. Joshi to institutionalize the study of Jyotish Shastra in Indian Universities is foolish. This will only encourage our upcoming generations to be Dogmatic, Obscurantist, and Backward. We from the hindutva.com team oppose this retrograde move by Murli Manohar Joshiji. Is anyone from the BJP listening?

As a footnote we may add that we from hindutva.com represent in many aspects, the rational-humanist outlook of the late Veer Savarkar, former President of the Hindu Mahasabha who also pioneered the concept of Hindutva in a treatise by that name. This is what defines our outlook and distinguishes us from our twins from the Sangh Parivar who represent the spiritualist-nationalist outlook, which today, by default, represents Hindutva.

Analysis of the Latest Global Happenings
Robin MacArthur, New Jersey.

Optional Scenarios if the USA does not exterminate the Mullah Jihadis of Iran now

- Loss of face in front of the world.
- Impression amongst Allies that the US is not going to be consistent and decisive in the war against terror.
- Al Qaeda and other Terrorist organisations will be emboldened to strike the US in a way that would be even more devastating than 9/11.
- The Mullah Jihadis will gloat over their second survival after the first one when they attacked the US embassy in Tehran and held the diplomats hostage for years
- They will go full steam ahead with their nuclear program.
After developing nuclear weapons the Mullah Jihadis will extend their co-ordination with Islamic terrorist organizations.
- They will be emboldened to be less circumspect with their, so far tacit, links with Al Qaeda (remember their giving refuge to Mohammed bin laden (Osama's son) and other Al Qaeda thugs) .
- They will be emboldened to finance terrorist strikes more openly across the globe (remember their financing of the Hezbollah in Lebanon).
- They will be emboldened to strike the US surreptitiously with more chemical weapons (remember the Anthrax attacks in 2001).
- Other Islamic terror sponsoring states like Sudan and Syria, will also be emboldened to defy and strike at the US and the West.
- It would be a psychological defeat for the West in general, and for the USA in particular, and a psychological victory for terrorism.

So folks, make your choice.

Since taking office, Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has wasted little time in molding the Iranian government in his own extremist image, a process which started with the appointment of Ali Larijani as Iran's chief nuclear negotiator. Larijani, a former commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and a close advisor to Ahmadinejad, possesses impeccable extremist credentials and is a favorite of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Supposedly a diplomat, Larijani is evidently not a fan of tactful parlance, recently declaring, "We have bloodthirsty foes like the United States and Israel who could attack us with all they have. So, why should we deny ourselves any category of weapons just to please the savage European powers?"

This much for Iran's peaceful intentions for its nuclear project!

And so in the light of Iran's open pursuit of nuclear technology and declaration of belligerent intent, President George Bush has issued a strident new warning to Iran hinting at the consequences. "This behavior is completely unacceptable," he said during a press conference at his ranch in Crawford, Texas.

Mr Bush said that Iran was undermining the push for peace in the Middle East, which is delicately poised after promising overtures last month.

Iran's nuclear ambitions are looming particularly large over the region. Israel warned yesterday that Iran "is trying everything" to get a nuclear weapon, and that if it succeeded it would threaten a far wider theatre than just the Middle East.

The Mullah Jihadis are also quietly and meticulously planning a fifth column in the Western World, as another front of their asymmetric warfare. It is high time the US and the West opened its eyes to the happenings around them and give up the delusion they would not have to fight their forthcoming war against Islamic Iran. The Mullah Jihadis are getting ready for it. The world needs to learn that whenever they had their way the Jihadis have moved through an unsuspecting and ill-prepared victim nation like a hot knife through butter; now if human civilization is to be saved, then it is high time for that butter to turn into lava so as to melt the knife of the Islamic Jihad. A knife whose edge is today being given a nuclear edge at Isfahan, Bushehr and Natanz.

The Askariya Mosque attack and the ensuing Iraqi Civil War in Iraq will ominously take the entire Middle East into a vortex of self-destruction and apocalypse

The attack on the Al Askariya Mosque is not going to be the last one on the Iraqi Shiites from the Al Qaeda in Iraq. The attack on Karbala today and the attack on the Saudi Oil refinery near Dhahran yesterday are ominous indicators of the shape of things to come even if the radical Maverick cleric Moqtada Al Sadr, still manages to keep his flock of gunmen under control to ensure that Iraq does not fragment and the Shiites can rule the entire country, and not just the southern Shiite rump.

The reason why Iraq is going in slow motion towards a full-fledged civil war was revealed by the statement of a Sunni cleric yesterday. He said "Next time, we Sunnis will be prepared to meet the Shiite attack." Oh, you mean that this time you were not ready and from now on you will stockpile weapons coming from your co-Sunnis in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan. Is that why Sunni clerics joined the Shiite clerics in appealing for calm? So that next time around the Shiite militias that storm the Sunni encalves will be mowed down by machine-gun fire and blown off by grenades and missiles? Just watch out, this will happen sometime soon, when Sadr or Sistani or Hakim or the Imam Ali Shrine are blown up sky high, by another Al Qaeda suicide bomber.

In Iraq, today there are three possibilities:

- an Iraq convulsed by violence for years to come;
- a Shiite-dominated Iraq; or
- an Iraq that fragments.

The first possibility could unleash Islamist forces in Saudi Arabia (and also in the Gulf countries, Yemen, Egypt, Libya), inviting greater American involvement for stabilizing the Saudi regime....

The Shiites have everything to lose from a fragmented Iraq and so they in spite of the extreme provocation from the destruction of the Al Askariya, they are trying to keep Iraq away from a full-fledged civil war and a three way disintegration in to Shiite south that may eventually come under the sway of Iran and may finally merge in to Iran, a Sunni Central triangle, that may come under the influence of Baathist ruled Sunni dominated Syria, and a Kurdish north that will have to try hard to keep the prying eyes of Turkey off itself.

Turkey would make all out attempts to regain the Vilayet of Mosul which they lost out to the British Mandated and newly created country of Iraq after World War 1.

In response to the Askariya Mosque while Jalal Talebani, the Kurdish President of Iraq has also called for peace between the Shiites and Sunnis of Iraq, he would be keeping an eye on when he needs to retire to Mosul, the future capital of Kurdistan away from the mayhem in a country of which he ironically is the President of.

Iraq would soon see increasingly provocative attacks by the Al Qaeda in Iraq on Shiite sites. Al Qaeda may destroy the Shiite shrines at Karbala and Najaf, as the attack on Karbala has ominously indicated today just a couple of days after the Al Askariya attack. So even if the Shiites keep their cool in spite of the very provocative attack on the Al Askariya, the Al Qaeda will not let them rest till they take on the Sunnis, plunging Iraq in to a civil war.

The Al Qaeda has everything to gain with an Iraq convulsed in to a civil war, as that would prove the American liberation to have been a dismal failure. But more importantly, the Al Qaeda would keep getting recruits from the Sunnis across the Islamic crescent through Iraq being kept on the boil. That is why Al Zarqawi, the Al Qaeda thug in Iraq has pledged to wipe off all Shiites. It is going to be a difficult time for Shiites, as he would keep pinching the Shiite bottom, till they blow off their top - finally but reluctantly!

And so Iraq would eventually be divided between the rebellious Sunni triangle of Iraq, an area that will fall under the influence of the Syrians; and its increasingly turbulent Shiite south, an area that will be used by the Iranians to keep Iraq on the boil to stave off American action against Iran; and also the relatively stable Kurdish north, the area coveted by the Turks.

If you're a Kurdish leader in northern Iraq watching the mess unfolding in the rest of the country, the questions increasingly running through your mind would be: How long before we Kurds give up on a united Iraq and choose independence?

Why would the Kurds want to stay part of Iraq and risk being drawn into the out-of-control maelstrom overtaking the rest of the country?

And if Kurds break away from Iraq, that would enrage Turkey, which fears that an independent Iraqi Kurdish state would attract its own 12 million to 14 million Kurds. Iraq's fragmentation also would prove that Washington's vision of a united and democratic Iraq was a pipe dream. A restive Turkish Kurdistan, could strengthen Islamist forces in Turkey, destabilizing Turkish Democracy and weakening the secular traditions of Kemal Ataturk, pulling Turkey even further from the possibility of EU membership, giving rise to the demand for an Islamist Turkey, if not, hopefully, for a revival of the Khilafat (Caliphate) abolished by Kemal Ataturk in 1920. A Turkish civil war on the lines of what happened in Algeria cannot be ruled out entirely.

Coming back to Iraq, for the Kurds of Iraq, after decades of torture, mass executions, forced relocation and chemical attacks by Saddam Hussein's monstrous regime, the Kurds today have a chance to chart their destiny. So far, they have followed the American script. But today there are three possibilities:

- an Iraq convulsed by violence for years to come;
- a Shiite-dominated Iraq; or
- an Iraq that fragments.

The first possibility could unleash Islamist forces in Saudi Arabia (and also in the Gulf countries, Yemen, Egypt, Libya), inviting greater American involvement for stabilizing the Saudi regime with limited intervention in Egypt and elsewhere.

The second possibility of a Shiite-dominated Iraq, would strengthen Iran, inviting an American pre-emptive strike on Iran by the Fall of this year leading to further convulsions in the wider Islamic world, especially in Pakistan.

The third possibility of an Iraq that fragments, is equally perilous, since it would destabilize Turkey. The increasing upheaval we see today makes it increasingly necessary to contemplate all the three possibilities; all of which translate to one eventuality – a Middle East in ferment. And to be buried in this chaos will be the rubble of our blueprint for a democratic Iraq that was to transform the Middle East's landscape into a benign zone of Jeffersonian democracy.

With Codi, Bolton, Wolf on the job' will Falwell, Armold, Boykin and Pat follow?

President Bush deserves to be congratulated on his announcing Paul Wolfowitz, the hardline Neocon who led the 'attack Iraq' campaign, as the US nominee to be the head of the World Bank The President is following a trend in having hardliners in key positions. First was Condoleezza Rice the hawkish nominee to replace the dovish Colin Powell. Ms Rice has said; "The only Military of consequence in the world today are the US Marines". Her appointment was followed by that of John Bolton as the US ambassador to the UN. John had said "There is no such thing as the United nations." And that "The UN should be subservient to US interests"

And now with the nomination of Paul Wolfowitz, the former deputy secretary of defense, who was one of the prime movers of the Iraq war, the US is sending clear signals to its adversaries that the 2nd Bush administration will brook no obstructionists in its pursuit of the war on terror that is soon to move against Iran and then against Syria. We may recollect here that Wesley Clark, the former Democratic Presidential wannabe, had disclosed that after 9/11 the Pentagon had drawn up plans to attack seven Muslim countries, one after the other. The campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq have knocked down two of the targets which the Pentagon had listed out. Iran and Syria are the next two. After these two are dealt with the question remains, which are the other three that would remain to be knocked out. Whether those next three will be Sudan, Libya and North Korea, or Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, is anybody's guess!

In a half serious half jocular vein we suggest to the President to now appoint General William Boykin, the deputy undersecretary of Defense who minces no words while describing Islam and has had a track record of battling Muslims first hand in Somalia, as the new head of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) in place of the Egyptian Mohamed ElBaradei, who has started practicing the Muslim art of deception (Taqqiyya), by saying that Iran has no nukes, also appoint Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor of California to a newly created office of Additional Secretary of State for prosecuting the GWOT. The President should also appoint Rev Pat Robertson, the firebrand preacher as the Secretary of State for Ideological Warfare against Terror with Jerry Falwell as Secretary of State for harvesting the souls of the heathen Muslims in the liberated countries. Only when the US takes the war on an earnest all out offensive against the Muslims, as it did with the Nazis, can the enemy be broken and this war be won

An Analysis of President Bush's speech on Democracy and the War on Terror

In President Bush's mind there exits a seemingly valid connection between the spread of democracy in the Middle East and victory in the GWOT (Global War on terror). While it is true that with the exercise of universal adult franchise on which rests democracy, the idea of rule of Allah through a Caliph (based on the Shariah as interpreted by the Mullahs), receives a setback. This was why Abu Musab Al Zarqawi, the Jordanian terrorist leader causing mayhem in Iraq decried democracy as anti-Islamic. So every advance of democracy in the Middle East should logically be a set back for the Islamists and their concept of Khilafah (Islamic Caliphate) where the Shariah would be the constitution, and the Mullahs be the wielders power. With democracy, power is transferred to the common people. This is all seemingly very good. But is this what really happens in the Middle East when people exercise universal franchise?

What if a majority of the people who vote, want the establishment of Islamic Khilafah under the rule of Shariah, as interpreted by the Mullahs. Then you end up legitimizing religious fanaticism by using democracy as a tool. Remember mass support for a wrong cause does not make that cause right. Hitler was also elected on a popular mandate!

Yes we had elections in Iraq and that is being touted as a victory for democracy, but it looks like we are on the way to having an Islamic (Shia) fanatic dominated parliament there.

Yes we had elections in the Gaza, Judea and Samaria too, but Abu Mazen calls for a "Greater Jihad" against the "Zionist Enemy" and in the municipal elections there it was the terrorist Hamas which was elected to power.

Yes we had an election in Saudi Arabia, of all places, too. But they just gave legitimacy to a farce in which only males could vote for candidates selected by the Saudi monarchy. This only served to legitimize the hold of the Wahabi monarchy over what will masquerade as democracy.

Yes the global pressure on Lebanon, would see the back of Syrian troops there, but if it means that Hezbollah becomes stronger through the ballot box, as was evident through their massive rally addressed by their terrorist leader Sheikh Hasan Nasrallah, then the ballot box would only legitimize the evil of Islamic fanaticism.

The point is that democracy is only a method, which would be a noble method, only if the people who vote are nobly intentioned. If the people who vote are evil intentioned and support terrorism, then giving them the right to vote leads to evil leaders being elected and legitimized in the name of universal franchise that was exercised thru the one person, one vote principle. Thus the issue to be addressed is not whether people have the right to vote in a free and fair election, but if they have the right temperament and cultural ethos that supports a civilized peace-loving way of life.

The Middle East under Islam does not have this prerequisite for a civilized peace-loving way of life, so whether Muslims are ruled by dictators like Bashar Assad or Hosni Mubarak, or by despotic kings like Fahd or Abdullah, or by Military dictators like Pervez Musharraf, of by elected leaders like the leaders of Hamas or the Shias in Iraq or in Khatami's Iran, does not make the system civilized just because the leaders have been elected by the people who have exercised universal franchise. Is this point being missed at the White House?

By the way Aslan Maskhadov, the Chechen terrorist leader who was hunted down by the Russians, was also elected by the majority of Chechens. That did not prevent him from murdering school kids at Beslan. Like him, the majority of the people of the Middle East support Terrorism, since their Islamic ethos supports terrorism, as it has been terror that has born and bred Islam since the 7th century when it was founded on terror by the founding father of mass theology-inspired terrorism Mohammed-ibn-Abdallah whom the Muslims look upon as their prophet. Till we zero down on this root cause of terrorism, no amount of universal franchise and elections can change the beastly Islamic core of the people of the Middle East. What has been achieved is a mirage, that will delude us into believing that Iraq or the West Bank are now safer places since the people of those lands have participated in an election. As long as these people are motivated by the murderous ideology of Islam, nothing changes - elections or no elections. In fact if this murderous mentality has to change, we would need ruthless leaders (like Mustapha Kemal Pasha of Turkey) to rule over the Middle East. Leaders who would uproot this murderous mentality from the minds of people, as was done by Stalin's Russia with the Chechens and which is what ensured peace in Chechnya, till the freedom which the fall of the USSR, gave the Chechens to go back to their murderous roots and start the current campaign of murder and mayhem. By hunting down Aslan Maskhadov, the Russians have shown us the right way to deal with terrorists, whether they be despots or be they elected by majority support of a population who support terrorism.

For freedom to be secure in the long run, it has to be curtailed in the short run, till the murderous mentality of those who want to establish a theocracy based on the murderous mentality of Islam are not eliminated like Maskhadov was. Only after all such criminals are no more, can our experiment with democracy bring peace. President Bush needs to keep this in mind when formulating the future strategy of the GWOT. He can learn a lesson or two from President Putin, instead of hectoring him on the niceties and civilities to be observed by a leader of a democratic nation.

Is any one from the White House reading this?

Hezbollah and Syria enter the game of suicide attacks on Israel

With the Tel Aviv Night Club bombing, one of our predictions has come true. We had predicted that once the Israel-Palestinian peace deal comes thru and the Hamas/Jihad Islami/Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade suspend the attacks against Israel as part of their Hudna, the Hezbollah (Hizbollah) will not rest quiet, neither will Syria which wants another front to attack the US-Israeli interests to counter the pressure on itself (Syria) to withdraw from Lebanon, due to its murder of Rafiq Hariri, the former President of Lebanon, who was an ardent advocate of Syria's withdrawal from Israel. That this prediction has come true is not the point (see the story "Shape of things to come in Iraq and the world over"below). The point is about the logical consequences that will follow from this prediction coming true, as we have mentioned, in the story below. Just keep watching as the trajectory of predictions unfolds, barring few aberrations. Our advise to the US and Israel is to not just keep their gunpowder dry, but also to keep their finger on the trigger, to launch retaliatory (if not pre-emptive) strikes against Hezbollah, and their sponsors Iran and Syria.

Bush - Putin Summit, Democracy and the War on Terror

During World War 2, we destroyed the Nazis by allying ourselves with Stalin's USSR and China (then under joint Nationalist and Communist rule) which hardly were democratic nations, so we should have no hassles about aligning with Russia and China today to destroy terrorism. Islamic Terrorism is far more pervasive than was Nazism, since Islam is basically a form of theology-inspired terrorism having an emotional grip on the psyche of one billion and a half persons.

And unlike Nazism, Islam is not limited mainly to one nation. So it is all the more critical for the USA and Russia to unite on the war on terror, without making a fuss about the perfections of Russian Democracy. Let the Russian people worry about that. Russia under whatever form of government does not threaten the security of the USA. So President Bush needs to be focused on the commonality of interests between the two, rather than on the different ideas that he and President Putin have about democracy for our respective countries.

The same holds true for China and its human rights record. The Chinese human rights record too, does not threaten American security interests. So it would be foolish for the USA to be fastidious on this issue of democracy in Russia and China. And it would be wise for the Americans and Russians to learn from history. When the Terrorism of the Islamic Jihad started 1400 years back from Arabia, the Muslims faced two formidable powers of those days the Byzantine (Roman) Empire and the Sassanid (Persian) Empire. These two empires were rivals of each other and had fought a protracted war, quite similar to the Cold War of our age. When the Islamic Arab invasion began, these two powers refused to display foresight and did not unite against the Islamic Jihad, and consequently the Muslims defeated and destroyed both the empires one after another, and forcibly converted the population to Islam. Today the Muslim Jihadis hope that Americans and Russians also play the role of the Byzantines and Sassanids so that the Muslims could once again prevail over both. In fact the Al Qaeda, refers to the Americans as Rome and the Russians as Persia.
